Caregivers Are The Silent Hero's

What you do in life is just a important as your last days on this earth. Whatever religion faith or afterlife beliefs you posses facing you life's ending can be traumatic as well as super enlightening experienced. I"veĀ  been a nurse at hospital here in Florida now for 12 years. I"ve seen people kicking and screaming into the afterlife and some who just peacefully drift off.

Many are so morphine d out they really don't know whats going on. We just about overdose them if they are going to die.

That little button they squeeze that drips the morphine lets us know how quick or slow their last days are especially if they are in constant pain.

I've had people so generously tell me there most intimate experiences thoughts dreams that days I've walked out of that hospital in quiet tears. What a life I"m always thinking these people of lead Look what they've given to their family friends and community and what have I done.

It's a very humbling experience and I feel honored that they allow me in to those inner chambers of their sacred beliefs and earned wisdom. I just wanted to give a shout out to all the front care workers out there who deal with this everyday. I hope they take heart knowing that in listening and caring for end of lifers with love and kindness is in itself a great deed I'm sure we can all be so thankful for.
